Weekly Meetings:
Our club, based in West Berkshire, England, is a member of the Southern
Photographic Federation. The club meets every Thursday evening, 7:30pm to
10:00pm, at Shaw Social Club, Almond Avenue, Newbury, Berks., RG14 1LU
(see map).
During our main winter season, between September and the following June, we have
presentations by invited speakers who describe their personal areas of
photographic expertise. The club also holds photographic competitions. During
our summer season, from June to September, the meetings are less formal and tend
to focus on topical areas of photography and photographic techniques.
Prospective new members who live in the Newbury area, both beginners and
experienced photographers, are always welcome to come along to see what the club
is all about. After up to three initial visits prospective members are
invited to join the club.

Workshops:
In addition to the weekly meetings,
the club runs photographic workshops at Shaw Social Club, at 7:30pm on the third
Tuesday of most months. These practical workshops, aimed primarily at those
club members who are just starting out in photography, cover a wide range of
photographic topics, including training in Adobe Photoshop. Details of future
workshop will be announced to members at the weekly Thursday meetings. |
|
Email Discussion Group:
The club runs a Yahoo group
for email communication between club members. New club members can request to be
added to the group by sending an email to the webmaster,
Ian Trusson LRPS. |
